Heather was born in Bendigo and raised in Kangaroo Flat by her parents Ken and Noreen Fitt who operated a local Earthmoving business. Heather and her husband Jason decided to settle in Kangaroo Flat when they married and raised their 3 children.
After some years as a Legal Secretary, Heather entered the Bendigo Funeral Industry in the role of Receptionist in 1992. Her role gradually expanded over the years to include Office Administration, Client Liaison and Funeral Co-ordination. In the late 1990’s she accepted a role as an ‘on premises’ Arranger and afterhours Co-ordinator.
After a short break between 2006 and 2012, an opportunity with Bendigo Funerals enabled her to return to the Industry she loves. Heather has always found her role fulfilling and attributes this to the caring nature it requires whilst also providing genuine empathy and support to the client families she guides through the challenges of preparing for a Funeral.
With over 21 years of involvement in Funerals and Funeral Planning, Heather is one of Bendigo’s most experienced Funeral Consultants.
